US Plains HRW Wheat-Basis bids steady as futures bounce

ReutersOct 27, 2025 4:51 PM

- Basis bids for hard red winter (HRW) wheat were unchanged in the U.S. Plains on Monday as futures gained support from optimism over upcoming U.S.-China trade talks.

  • Roughly one-third of U.S. wheat has remained too dry, an analyst note said.

  • Farmers have shied away from selling as focus remains on planting.

  • Analysts expect most of the hard red winter wheat crop has been planted.

  • K.C. December hard red winter wheat KWZ25 was last up 16-1/2 cents to $5.18 per bushel.
