- Chicago Board of Trade wheat futures closed lower on Tuesday on spillover weakness from corn and soybeans, ample global grain supplies and a lack of supportive news, traders said.

  • CBOT December soft red winter wheat WZ25 settled down 4-1/2 cents at $5.00-1/4 per bushel but stayed above a life-of-contract low of $4.92-1/4 set last week.

  • K.C. December hard red winter wheat KWZ25 ended down 5 cents at $4.85 a bushel and Minneapolis December spring wheat MWEZ25 fell 3-3/4 cents to end at $5.44-3/4 a bushel.

  • Minneapolis wheat futures 0#MWE: set new contract lows in all traded months.

  • European wheat futures edged down in light trade as increased production estimates for exporting countries maintained supply pressure while traders awaited the outcome of an Algerian purchase tender.

  • Russia's IKAR consultancy raised its estimate of the country's 2025 wheat crop to 88 million metric tons, from the previous 87.5 million.
