
CHICAGO, Oct 21 (Reuters) - Chicago Board of Trade wheat futures closed lower on Tuesday on spillover weakness from corn and soybeans, ample global grain supplies and a lack of supportive news, traders said.
CBOT December soft red winter wheat WZ25 settled down 4-1/2 cents at $5.00-1/4 per bushel but stayed above a life-of-contract low of $4.92-1/4 set last week.
K.C. December hard red winter wheat KWZ25 ended down 5 cents at $4.85 a bushel and Minneapolis December spring wheat MWEZ25 fell 3-3/4 cents to end at $5.44-3/4 a bushel.

European wheat futures edged down in light trade as increased production estimates for exporting countries maintained supply pressure while traders awaited the outcome of an Algerian purchase tender.
