US Cash Grains-Soybean basis steady to higher as futures tick down

CHICAGO, Oct 21 (Reuters) - Soybean basis bids were firmer at some elevators and processors in the U.S. Midwest on Tuesday, a spot check of locations showed, as futures fell.

• The soybean basis rose 5 cents at a processor in Decatur, Illinois, and 10 cents at another in Morristown, Indiana. It ticked up a penny at an elevator in Cincinnati, Ohio.

• The corn basis rose at the Cincinnati elevator and another in Blair, Nebraska. It rose at a river terminal in Davenport, Iowa, and fell at another in Seneca, Illinois.

• On the Chicago Board of Trade, soybean futures turned lower on profit-taking after the benchmark contract Sv1 touched a one-month high in early moves, while market players continued to monitor U.S.-China trade relations, analysts said. GRA/
