Europe Gasoline/Naphtha-Gasoline cracks fall further on Dangote restart

LONDON, Oct 20 (Reuters) - Northwest European gasoline profit margins fell by about $1.70 a barrel on Monday, after Nigeria's Dangote oil refinery last week began the restart process for its gasoline unit.

• A total of 16,000 metric tons of Eurobob E5 gasoline barges traded as Varo, ExxonMobil and Equinor sold to Trafigura, Gunvor and Glencore.

• A total of 6,000 tons of Eurobob E10 gasoline traded as Trafigura sold to TotalEnergies.

• Nigeria's Dangote oil refinery last week began the restart process of its gasoline unit and was expected to resume production by Sunday, according to industry monitor IIR on Thursday. It was not immediately clear whether the refinery was back online. Its 204,000 bpd Residue Fluidized Catalytic Cracking Unit (RFCCU) was offline since late August, tightening supply of the motor fuel in the Atlantic basin and boosting prices.

• The Dangote refinery said on Friday that recent reductions in crude oil inflows were a strategic response to elevated global prices, not the result of operational failures.

• Global gasoline fundamentals were likely to remain tight through the end of the year, driven by strength in Europe and Asia, Energy Aspects said, adding that they expect strong fourth-quarter crack spreads.

• EU and UK gasoline exports to other regions have averaged 857,000 bpd in October so far, according to Kpler data, compared with 917,000 bpd in September.
