CHICAGO, Oct 15 (Reuters) - Following are U.S. expectations for the resumption of grain and soy complex trading at the Chicago Board of Trade at 8:30 a.m. CDT (1330 GMT) on Wednesday.
NOTE: The U.S. government remains shut down, suspending many government reports.
WHEAT - Down 3 to 5 cents per bushel
CBOT wheat Wv1 futures trended lower in early moves, anchored by plentiful global grain supplies, but the benchmark CBOT December contract WZ25 stayed above a life-of-contract low set on Tuesday.
CBOT December soft red winter wheat WZ25 was last down 4-1/2 cents at $4.95-3/4 per bushel. K.C. December hard red winter wheat KWZ25 was last down 4 cents at $4.84-1/2 a bushel and Minneapolis December wheat MWEZ25 last traded down 1 cent at $5.52-1/2 per bushel.
CORN - Steady to down 1 cent per bushel
Corn futures drifted lower on pressure from the ongoing U.S. harvest as combines continued to roll in the Midwest crop belt with only scattered weather delays. Declines in wheat and soybean futures added to bearish sentiment.
South Korean feed makers have been booking corn on the global export market this week as CBOT corn futures Cv1 hovered near a seven-week low. GRA/TEND
CBOT December corn CZ25 was last down 3/4 cent at $4.12-1/4 per bushel.
SOYBEANS - Down 1 to 2 cents per bushel
Soybean futures Sv1 fell on worries about an escalating U.S.-China trade battle that has hurt U.S. soy exports. U.S. President Donald Trump on Tuesday called a Chinese boycott of U.S. soybeans "an economically hostile act" that could lead him to terminate some trade ties.
Trump singled out cooking oil imports from China, though traders and analysts said they would have little impact as such shipments from China had plummeted over the past year.
Ahead of monthly crush data due from the National Oilseed Processors Association, analysts surveyed by Reuters on average expected the trade group to report that its members crushed 186.3 million bushels of soybeans in September, down 1.8% from August but up 5.1% from a year ago.
CBOT November soybeans SX25 were last down 2-1/4 cents at $10.04-1/4 per bushel.
