US government workforce cuts have begun, OMB chief says

WASHINGTON, Oct 10 (Reuters) - Reductions of the federal workers have begun, Office of Management and Budget Director Russell Vought said in a post on X on Friday as the U.S. government shutdown entered its 10th day.
"The RIFs have begun," Vought wrote, referring to so-called reductions in force. He offered no other details.
