Brazil's Lula asks Trump to remove tariffs on Brazilian goods during call

SAO PAULO, Oct 6 (Reuters) - Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva asked United States President Donald Trump to remove the 40% tariff on Brazilian goods during a call on Monday, Brazil's government said in a statement.
The two leaders held a 30-minute call on Monday, and agreed to meet in person "soon," the statement said, adding the call had a friendly tone.
