No injuries reported in fire on jet fuel unit at Chevron Los Angeles refinery, sources say

HOUSTON, Oct 3 (Reuters) - No injuries were reported in an explosion and fire on Thursday night on a jet fuel production unit at Chevron’s CVX.N 285,000 barrel-per-day Los Angeles-area refinery, said people familiar with the matter.

The fire broke out in Isomax 7, which converts mid-distillate fuel oil into jet fuel, at the refinery in the Los Angeles suburb of El Segundo, the sources said.
