
CHICAGO, Sept 29 (Reuters) - The following are U.S. expectations for the resumption of grain and soy complex trading at the Chicago Board of Trade at 8:30 a.m. CDT (1330 GMT) on Monday.
WHEAT - Flat to down 2 cents
Traders were waiting for the U.S. Department of Agriculture to issue quarterly U.S. grain stocks data on Tuesday.
Analysts estimated U.S. wheat stocks were 2.043 billion bushels on September 1, up from 1.992 billion a year earlier, according to a Reuters poll.
Wheat inventories were plentiful worldwide, analysts said.
In top-supplier Russia, export prices rose for a second week in a row due to increased demand, analysts said.
CBOT December soft red winter wheat WZ25 was last down 1 cent at $5.18-3/4 per bushel. K.C. December hard red winter wheat KWZ25 last traded down 3/4 cent at $5.04-3/4 a bushel, and Minneapolis December wheat MWEZ25 rose 1/4 cent to $5.68 a bushel.
CORN - Down 1 cent to 3 cents
The advancing U.S. harvest hung over CBOT corn futures as farmers brought in supplies from their fields.
Farmers were projected to harvest a record-large crop, according to USDA.
The agency was expected to issue an update on corn and soy harvesting progress in a weekly report due after trading ends on Monday.
Analysts estimated that the USDA's quarterly stocks report on Tuesday would show U.S. corn inventories of 1.337 billion bushels on September 1, compared to 1.763 billion a year earlier, according to a Reuters poll.
CBOT December corn CZ25 was last down 2-1/4 cents at $4.19-3/4 per bushel.
SOYBEANS - Down 4 cents to 6 cents
The lack of Chinese demand for U.S. soy continued to weigh on CBOT futures.
During its trade war with Washington, top-importer China has turned to South America for supplies.
Brazil's soybean plantings for the 2025/26 season reached 3.2% of the expected area as of last Thursday, consultancy AgRural said.
The USDA report on Tuesday was expected to show U.S. soy inventories of 323 million bushels on September 1, compared to 342 million a year earlier.
CBOT November soybeans SX25 were last down 5 cents at $10.08-3/4 per bushel.
