US Cash Grains-Corn basis bids flat to lower

Sept 24 (Reuters) - Corn basis bids were steady to down at elevators, river terminals and processors in the U.S. Midwest on Wednesday, a spot check of locations showed.

• The corn basis fell at a Cincinnati, Ohio elevator, a Decatur, Illinois processor and a Toledo, Ohio river terminal.

• The soybean basis rose at the Decatur processor. It was steady elsewhere.

• U.S. farmers are engaged the early stages of the corn and soy harvest.

• A drier pattern next week in the Midwest is expected to aid the corn and soy harvest pace, according to forecaster Commodity Weather Group.

• On the Chicago Board of Trade, soybean futures eased on Wednesday on export concerns as large sales of soy from Argentina to China kept attention on the top importer's lack of purchases from the U.S. GRA/

• Corn futures followed soybeans lower, although losses were limited by early harvest reports of smaller-than-expected yields in the heart of the Midwest corn belt. GRA/
