CMA CGM not planning surcharges due to US port fees on China-built vessels

ReutersSep 10, 2025 1:10 PM

- French shipping group CMA CGM is not planning to impose surcharges on cargo shipped to or from the United States in response to U.S. port fees to be imposed on Chinese-built vessels from October 14, it said on Wednesday.

CMA CGM also expects to maintain services to all its scheduled U.S. ports, it said in a statement. The group, the world's third-largest container line, had said previously it would redeploy its fleet to avoid incurring the U.S. port fees.
