CHICAGO, Aug 29 (Reuters) - Chicago Board of Trade wheat futures finished higher on position squaring ahead of the end of the month.
Traders were adjusting positions at the end of the month and before a long weekend in the United States, where financial markets will be closed on Monday for the Labor Day holiday.
Abundant production from Northern Hemisphere harvests and an improving outlook for crops in Southern Hemisphere exporters Argentina and Australia have weighed on wheat prices this week.
CBOT December soft red winter wheat WZ25 settled 5-1/4 cents higher at $5.34-1/4 per bushel.
K.C. December hard red winter wheat KWZ25 ended 4 cents higher at $5.19-3/4 per bushel.
Minneapolis December spring wheat MWEZ25 ended 3 cents higher at $5.80 per bushel.
