CHICAGO, Aug 19 (Reuters) - The following are U.S. expectations for the resumption of grain and soy complex trading at the Chicago Board of Trade at 8:30 a.m. CDT (1330 GMT) on Tuesday.
WHEAT - Down 3 to 5 cents per bushel
Wheat futures Wv1 lower on ample global supplies and spillover pressure from weaker CBOT corn.
Most SRW and HRW contracts hit fresh contract lows during overnight trading.
CBOT September soft red winter wheat WU25 was last down 4-1/2 cents at $4.98-1/4 per bushel. K.C. September hard red winter wheat KWU25 was last down 6-3/4 cents at $4.99-1/2 per bushel, and Minneapolis September wheat MWEU25 was last down 1/2 cent at $5.67-1/4 a bushel.
CORN - Down 3 to 5 cents per bushel
Corn futures Cv1 down after four sessions of gains, pressured by forecasts for a record-large U.S. harvest.
The condition of the U.S. corn crop declined slightly over the past week but remained at its strongest since 2016 at 71% good-to-excellent, the U.S. Department of Agriculture said in a weekly report on Monday.
Crop scouts on the annual Pro Farmer Midwest crop tour estimated better-than-average corn yields in Ohio and South Dakota on Monday. But dry soil conditions could limit crop potential in Ohio, scouts said.
Traders are awaiting further reports from day 2 of the tour, with scouts surveying fields in Indiana and Nebraska.
CBOT December corn CU25 was last down 4-1/4 cents at $4.02-1/4 per bushel.
SOYBEANS - Steady to down 2 cents per bushel
Soybean futures Sv1 flat to weaker on strong yield prospects in the U.S. Midwest crop and worries about export demand due to trade tensions with China.
The USDA held its soybean crop condition rating steady in a weekly report on Monday. The 68% good-to-excellent rating matched last year's, which was the strongest since 2020.
Crop scouts on the annual Pro Farmer Midwest crop tour estimated better-than-average soybean pod counts in Ohio and South Dakota on Monday.

The USDA confirmed private sales of 228,606 metric tons of new-crop U.S. soybeans to Mexico.
