  • Most SRW and HRW contracts hit fresh contract lows during overnight trading.

  • CBOT September soft red winter wheat WU25 was last down 4-1/2 cents at $4.98-1/4 per bushel. K.C. September hard red winter wheat KWU25 was last down 6-3/4 cents at $4.99-1/2 per bushel, and Minneapolis September wheat MWEU25 was last down 1/2 cent at $5.67-1/4 a bushel.

  • Crop scouts on the annual Pro Farmer Midwest crop tour estimated better-than-average corn yields in Ohio and South Dakota on Monday. But dry soil conditions could limit crop potential in Ohio, scouts said.

  • Crop scouts on the annual Pro Farmer Midwest crop tour estimated better-than-average soybean pod counts in Ohio and South Dakota on Monday.

  • Traders are awaiting further reports from day 2 of the tour, with scouts surveying fields in Indiana and Nebraska.
