Aug 18 - Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney on Monday said it's disappointing that negotiations between Air Canada and the union representing its flight attendants have not resulted in an agreement on a new contract, and he urged both sides to resolve the strike as soon as possible.
"We are in a situation where literally hundreds of thousands of Canadians and visitors to our country are being disrupted by this action," Carney told reporters on Parliament Hill. "I urge both parties to resolve this as quickly as possible, and the (jobs) minister will have more to say."
