ReutersAug 7, 2025 10:17 PM

- Spot basis bids for hard red winter wheat were unchanged in a spot check of locations in the southern U.S. Plains on Thursday as futures climbed.

  • Wheat futures were up after abundant global supplies of wheat from recent Northern Hemisphere harvests prompted a sell-off earlier in the week.

  • K.C. September hard red winter wheat KWU25 settled 10 cents higher to $5.21-1/2 a bushel.

  • Protein premiums for railcar wheat shipped to and through Kansas City were unchanged for all grades of wheat. KCBT/SCA
