ICE canola futures bounce back despite rainfall

- ICE canola futures rebounded on Thursday, rising more than 1% despite rain in parts of Western Canada.

• November canola RSX5 settled up $7.60 at $677.30 per metric ton. January RSF6 rose $7.40 to $689.10.

• Thursday's gains follow five straight losses and leave canola futures just above long term support, a trader said.

• Significant rain fell in some parts of the Canadian prairies, but some areas remain critically dry. Most farmers still need at least one more rain to finish out their growing season.

• Chicago Board of Trade soyoil futures BOv1 fell 1.11% despite a gain in soybeans Sv1 and a rebound in corn Cv1 and wheat Wv1. Corn, wheat and soybeans are near multi-year lows.

• Euronext rapeseed futures COMc1 rose 0.85%.

• Malaysian palm oil futures FCPOc3 fell 0.54%. POI/
