EU could aggregate demand from companies to buy U.S. LNG

BRUSSELS, July 31 (Reuters) - The European Commission could aggregate demand from European companies to purchase more U.S. liquefied natural gas (LNG), as part of its efforts to reach the EU's pledge to buy $250 billion in U.S. energy per year, a spokesperson for the Commission said on Thursday.

"We are ready to do that, yes, if there is an interest," the spokesperson told reporters.
