Asia Naphtha/Gasoline-Naphtha price rises to over $600/t, gasoline crack steady
NEW DELHI, July 30 (Reuters) - Asia's naphtha price jumped on Wednesday after a powerful earthquake triggered a tsunami warning in Japan.
The price for first-half September naphtha rose by about $19 to $609.75 per metric ton over Brent crude.
Traders said refineries face the risk of shutting down due to the Tsunami warning.
In the gasoline market, window activity remained thin for a second straight day with no bids, offers and deals. Kuwait's KPC was heard to have offered 92-octange grade of gasoline for delivery during mid-August, market participants said.
The gasoline crack traded steady at about $7 per barrel over Brent crude on Wednesday.
