EU-US trade deal fails to ease Europe's steel industry crisis, says German federation

BERLIN, July 28 (Reuters) - Germany's steel federation WV Stahl said that despite the EU and the U.S. reaching a trade agreement, the "catastrophic situation" in the European steel industry remained unchanged.
Although the deal has prevented further escalation, it has not altered the fundamental challenges facing the sector, the federation said on Monday.
