South Korea says US trade talks include defence spending rise, US weapons purchases

SEOUL, July 28 (Reuters) - South Korea's presidential office said on Monday trade talks with the United States included discussions on increasing defence spending and U.S. weapons purchase.

The presidential office also said U.S. demands covered agriculture and livestock, and South Korea was trying to minimise concessions, said Woo Sang-ho, presidential secretary for political affairs.
