US Cash Grains-Corn bids fall, soy rise as futures fall

CHICAGO, July 21 (Reuters) - Spot basis bids for corn tipped lower while soybean bids rose on Monday as futures ticked lower and cash trade remained slow.

• Chicago corn and soybean futures fell on forecasts for crop-friendly rain in U.S. grain belts this week.

• The U.S. Department of Agriculture rated 74% of the U.S. corn crop in good-excellent condition as of Sunday, the highest rating for this time of year since 2016 and unchanged from the previous week.

• The USDA rated 68% of the soybean crop in good-excellent condition, down from 70% the previous week and below the average analyst estimate.

• Chicago Board of Trade most active corn Cv1 finished down 5-1/2 cents at $4.22-1/4 a bushel. Soybeans Sv1 were down 9-3/4 cents at $10.26 a bushel, while wheat Wv1 was down 4 cents at $5.42-1/4 a bushel.
