ReutersJul 17, 2025 7:27 PM

- Chicago Board of Trade wheat futures weakened on Thursday under pressure from plentiful global supplies, analysts said.

  • Harvesting wound down in top U.S. hard red winter wheat-growing states, grain merchants said.

  • In Canada, farmers are likely to produce average-size wheat and canola crops this autumn, but years of drought have made rain critical for the plants to fulfill their potential, farmers and analysts said.

  • Net U.S. wheat export sales totaled 494,400 metric tons in the week ended July 10, the U.S. Department of Agriculture said in a weekly report. The sales were in line with analysts' estimates for 300,000 to 700,000 tons. EXP/WHE
