KYIV, July 17 (Reuters) - Ukraine has restored 2.2 gigawatts of power generation capacity so far in 2025 after it was damaged by Russian air strikes, outgoing energy minister German Galushchenko said on Thursday, adding that the plan was to restore a total of 3.7 GW by the end of the year.
Galushchenko, who is moving on to head the justice ministry after four years as energy minister, added that since 2022, when Russia invaded Ukraine, 470 complex cyberattacks had been recorded against the country's energy sector.
