Chile says it has not received information from U.S. on copper tariffs

SANTAIGO, July 8 (Reuters) - Chile, the world's top copper producer, said on Tuesday it has not received any official communication from counterparts regarding the implementation of copper tariffs, the foreign ministry said in a statement.
U.S. President Donald Trump announced a 50% tariff on imported copper earlier on Tuesday, broadening his global trade offensive.
