US Cash Grains-Corn basis bids mostly steady to higher

CHICAGO, June 24 (Reuters) - Spot basis bids for corn and soybeans were steady to higher at grain elevators, processors and rail terminals in the U.S. Midwest on Tuesday as futures for both eased.

• The corn basis rose 5 cents at a grain elevator in the Chicago, Illinois area. It rose 1 cent at a rail terminal in Evansville, Indiana.

• The soybean basis rose 3 cents at a processor in Lafayette, Indiana.

• U.S. corn and soybean futures dipped as warm, wet weather in the U.S. corn belt provided ideal growing conditions for both crops. GRA/

• CBOT September corn CU25 settled down 5-1/4 cents at $4.12-1/4 a bushel.

• CBOT November soybeans SX25 ended down 9-3/4 cents at $10.37 a bushel.
