CHICAGO, June 24 (Reuters) - Spot basis bids for corn and soybeans were steady to higher at grain elevators, processors and rail terminals in the U.S. Midwest on Tuesday as futures for both eased.
The corn basis rose 5 cents at a grain elevator in the Chicago, Illinois area. It rose 1 cent at a rail terminal in Evansville, Indiana.
The soybean basis rose 3 cents at a processor in Lafayette, Indiana.
U.S. corn and soybean futures dipped as warm, wet weather in the U.S. corn belt provided ideal growing conditions for both crops. GRA/
CBOT September corn CU25 settled down 5-1/4 cents at $4.12-1/4 a bushel.
CBOT November soybeans SX25 ended down 9-3/4 cents at $10.37 a bushel.
