CHICAGO, June 23 (Reuters) - Chicago Board of Trade wheat retreated on Monday as analysts expected the U.S. harvest to continue accelerating.
CBOT September soft red winter wheat WU25 settled down 14 cents at $5.69-1/2 per bushel.
K.C. September hard red winter wheat KWU25 fell 13-3/4 cents to end at $5.65 a bushel and Minneapolis July spring wheat MWEN25 finished down 11-1/2 cents at $6.45-1/4 a bushel.
The U.S. winter wheat harvest is expected to have accelerated to 20% complete, according to U.S. Department of Agriculture data due to be released, up from 10% last week, according to a poll of analysts, while the crop's condition was seen remaining unchanged at 52% good to excellent.
Rain in the northern U.S. Plains has improved moisture for spring wheat, while drier weather in the central and southern Plains favored winter wheat harvesting, according to weather forecaster Vaisala.
