EU's von der Leyen speaks with Netanyahu on Middle East unrest
June 15 (Reuters) - European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said on Sunday that she spoke with Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu regarding developments in the Middle East.
Von der leyen in a post on X reiterated the EU's commitment to peace, stability and diplomatic efforts leading to de-escalation.
"Europe has always been clear: Iran can never acquire a nuclear weapon. There is an urgent need for a negotiated solution," von der Leyen said.
