US drillers cut oil and gas rigs for sixth week in a row, Baker Hughes says

June 6 (Reuters) - U.S. energy firms this week cut the number of oil and natural gas rigs operating for a sixth week in a row for the first time since September 2023, energy services firm Baker Hughes BKR.O said in its closely followed report on Friday.
The oil and gas rig count, an early indicator of future output, fell by four to 559 in the week to June 6, the lowest since November 2021. RIG-USA-BHI, RIG-OL-USA-BHI, RIG-GS-USA-BHI
