May 27 - (The Insurer) - Chaucer announced on Tuesday that Jordan Ray has been appointed to the newly created role of head of renewable energy and energy transition.
Ray will be based in London and report to Simon Schnorr, head of marine and energy.
In her new role, Ray will be responsible for leading Chaucer’s underwriting strategy for renewable energy portfolio, as well as driving strategic initiatives and cross-class solutions within the energy team.
She was previously head of renewable energy at the Fidelis Partnership, a role she held for four years.
Prior to that, she spent five years as property treaty underwriter at Agora Syndicate 3268.
In June last year, Sustainable Insurer revealed that Chaucer had abolished the internal role of head of sustainability following Simon Tighe’s departure to Dale Partners, with a new sustainability team working across the business and reporting to chief financial officer James Wright.
