
LONDON, May 7 (Reuters) - Northwest European gasoline profit margins rose by about 46 cents to $16.52 a barrel on Wednesday, even as U.S. stocks rose unexpectedly last week according to data from the Energy Information Administration.
A total of 14,000 metric tons of Eurobob E10 barges traded in the Argus window on Wednesday. Sahara, Gunvor,and Musket sold to BP, Varo and Mabanaft.
A further 12,000 tons of Eurobob E5 barges traded on the day. Gunvor, Musket, and Litasco were all on the sell side, while Shell, BP, Musket and Mabanaft were buyers.
U.S. gasoline stocks rose by 0.2 million barrels in the week to 225.7 million barrels, the EIA said, compared with analysts' expectations in a Reuters poll for a 1.6 million barrel draw.
Japan's largest refiner, Eneos Corp, restarted two crude distillation units at its Kawasaki refinery near Tokyo on May 4 following an unplanned shutdown, a company spokesperson said on Wednesday.
EU and UK gasoline and blending component exports to other regions are expected to reach 1 million barrels per day (bpd) in May, down slightly 1.07 million bpd in April, Kpler data showed.
