CHICAGO, May 2 (Reuters) - Spot basis bids for corn were mixed while soy bids rose in the U.S. Midwest on Friday as buyers sought to entice selling from farmers who have been busy with spring planting, dealers said.
Soybean basis bids rose at two processors and an Ohio River terminal.
The corn basis rose at a Nebraska processor and an Indiana ethanol plant.
Rain in parts of the U.S. Corn Belt might delay seeding, a note from Commodity Weather Group said.
Despite some weather concerns, market players expect farmers to be able to seed all of their intended crop.
Soybeans gained on Friday, with bargain-buying and the potential for U.S.-China trade talks supporting prices, though the market was on track to end the week lower amid concerns arising from the U.S.-China trade war.
Expectations of a large corn crop have weighed on corn futures.
Chicago Board of Trade July soybean futures SN25 were last up 5-1/2 cents to $10.55 per bushel around midday.
CBOT July corn CN25 was last down 2 cents to $4.70 per bushel.
