April 25 - (The Insurer) - Energy-focused (re)insurer Everen Specialty has appointed former Axa XL executive Carla Greaves as its new chief underwriting officer.
Greaves joins the company after nearly five years at Axa XL as global CUO for casualty in Bermuda. Before that, she spent over 13 years as senior vice president, chief excess casualty underwriter at XL Bermuda Ltd.
Based in the Bermuda office, Greaves will join the executive leadership team of the enereg industry mutual Everen later this year.
She succeeds interim CUO Jane Peterson, who will continue in a consultancy capacity to facilitate the transition.
“Her proven leadership will be instrumental as we develop and execute on our new three-year strategic plan for Everen Specialty – strengthening our underwriting capabilities and continuing to deliver a world-class service to our members and policyholders,” said Robert Foskey, president and CEO of the Everen Group.
