April 1 - (The Insurer) - Satellite imagery and data provider ICEYE has expanded its offering to include hurricane-related damage across the U.S. and its offshore territories.
The Helsinki-based firm, which also provides imagery and data solutions for the flood and wildfire perils, said it will now provide a combined view of wind and flood-related damage within 24 hours of a hurricane making landfall.
ICEYE said the solution will use high-resolution satellite imagery, ground-based data sensors and auxiliary information to pinpoint areas of major impact along a hurricane track.
The company said this will enable users to quickly establish the most severely affected customers, identify large loss concentrations and target field resources accordingly.
Alongside the U.S. mainland, coverage also includes Puerto Rico, Guam and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
The launch follows the closing of a $65 million extension to its $93 million April 2024 growth funding round in December last year.
