Argenta names Brand to lead energy liability

March 25 - (The Insurer) - Argenta has appointed Inga Brand as head of its energy liability unit with immediate effect.

Based in London, Brand will report to Heath Callan, divisional head of energy and marine. Brand brings over 24 years of underwriting experience in UK and global markets.

In her new role, Brand will be responsible for managing and driving the growth of Argenta’s flagship energy liability portfolio. She will focus on expanding market share, strengthening stakeholder relationships, and enhancing Argenta’s reputation as a leader in the sector.

Brand joins from White Bear Managers (WBM), a Blenheim-owned MGA, where she was a founding partner of its energy liability product and played a pivotal role in its success since launching in 2020.

Prior to this, she spent six years at Liberty Specialty Markets and ten years at Aspen Insurance. Brand began her insurance career at Syndicate 1861, working on the marine and energy liability account.

Callan said Brand’s market knowledge and underwriting expertise make her a valuable addition to Argenta’s energy liability team.
