- (The Insurer) - Marsh has appointed Amy Barnes as global head of energy and power, effective immediately.

Based in London, Barnes succeeds and reports to Andrew George, who was named president of Marsh Specialty earlier this month.

In her new role, Barnes is responsible for driving strategy and innovation for a global network of specialist energy and power advisers, risk engineers and brokers.

She retains her current responsibilities as head of climate and sustainability strategy at Marsh.

Barnes joined Marsh in 2001 as an environmental consultant. She has since held several senior international leadership positions, including U.S. and Canada energy and power leader.

The broker also announced that Andrew Herring has been named global chair of energy and power, effective January 1, 2026.

Also based in London, Herring has led Marsh's UK energy and power team since 2012.
