Volt enters ports and terminals with AIG's Haines

March 18 - (The Insurer) - MGA Volt Underwriting has launched into the ports, terminals and logistics market, with Chris Haines appointed to lead the entry.

The launch has continued recent expansions in the ports and terminals market, which included Pen Underwriting'sentry into the U.S. and IQUW's launch late last year.

Haines has joined from his position as head of ports and terminals at AIG in London, which followed a stint as Skuld's ports and terminals class underwriter.

Volt launched in April 2024 with a focus on the energy transition sector and backing from BP Marsh. It has since made a number of hires including Travelers' Louise Scottand Tom Nooth-Cooper.
