
March 14 (Reuters) - Nordic forward prices fell on Friday but were set for weekly gains amid forecasts of a drier weather outlook in the region.
The Nordic front-quarter baseload power contract ENOFBLQc1 lost 0.6% to 21.15 euros per megawatt hour (MWh) as of 1056 GMT but was up 0.7% during the week.
The Nordic front-year ENOFBLYc1 lost 0.2 euros to 36.25 euros per megawatt hour (MWh). However, it was set for weekly gains, set to snap three straight weeks of losses.
"Temperatures are set to jump above average from the end of the week and wind output looks rather high in the Nordic area during the coming weeks," said analysts at Energi Danmark in a note.
Nordic water reserves available 15 days ahead PCAEC00 were seen at 17.1 terawatt hours (TWh) above normal, compared with 16.06 TWh on Thursday.
"The first half of the next week will be sunny and dry but only slowly milder, while the second half of the week will see above-normal temperatures," said LSEG meteorologist Georg Muller in a note.
The Nordic power price for next-day physical delivery FXSYSAL=NPX, or system price, fell 46.67 euros to 57.15 euros per MWh.
Dutch and British gas prices continued to fall amid expectations of high wind power output and on talk of a possible ceasefire to the conflict in Ukraine. NG/EU
In the European carbon market, the benchmark contract CFI2Zc1 fell 0.9% to 69.96 euros a tonne.
German year-ahead power TRDEBYc1 rose 0.65 euros to 82.9 euros per MWh.
