March 13 - (The Insurer) - Axa XL's UK and Lloyd's division has appointed Louise Nevill as specialty CUO and Sundeep Khera as head of marine and energy.
In a statement, the company said the appointments were part of a wider restructure of its UK and Lloyd's underwriting operating model under the leadership of CUO Mike Gosselin.
Earlier this week, this publication reported that three senior sources had said that former Marsh Specialty UK marine, cargo and logistics CEO Nevill was set to join Axa XL.
The insurer said that Nevill will be responsible for leading the specialty pillar and will join later this year.
Khera has spent 11 years with Axa XL, most recently serving as global marine hull CUO and head of marine underwriting forthe UK and Lloyd's since 2021. He will move into the expanded role with immediate effect.
There has been several senior exits from Axa XL's specialty unit over the past 12 months, including UK and Lloyd’s marine, energy and aviation CUO Peter Welton in November, former UK and Lloyd's hull head David Hughes in May and hull and war underwriter Hanna Vinje.
