US Secretary of State Rubio thanks UK for encouraging Europe to provide for its defense

WASHINGTON, March 3 (Reuters) - U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio on Monday thanked British Foreign Secretary David Lammy for his country's role in encouraging Europe to provide for its own defense and push for peace in Ukraine, the U.S. State Department said.
During a call with Lammy on Monday, Rubio confirmed the United States is ready to negotiate to end the Russia-Ukraine conflict and will continue working with the United Kingdom towards peace in Ukraine, State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce said.
