Lyondell says crude unit, coker shut at closing houston refinery

HOUSTON, Jan 31 (Reuters) - Lyondell Basell Industries LYB.N has shut a crude distillation unit (CDU) and a coker at its 263,776 barrel-per-day (bpd) Houston refinery, said Executive Vice President Kim Foley during a Friday conference call.
Foley said the shutdown of the second CDU and coker production train would follow as chemical maker Lyondell permanently closes the refinery.
