
CHICAGO, Jan 22 (Reuters) - Chicago Board of Trade soybeans Sv1 turned down on Wednesday, as traders took profits from Tuesday's rally and forecasts for needed rain in Argentina weighed on the market, analysts said.
China, the world's biggest soybean buyer, has stopped receiving Brazilian soybean shipments from five firms after cargoes did not meet phytosanitary requirements, according to a statement from the Brazilian government confirming what Reuters had learned from two sources on Wednesday.
Most-active CBOT March soybeans SH25 settled down 11-1/4 cents at $10.56 a bushel, after hitting the highest point for a most-active contract Sv1 since July 26.
CBOT most-active March soymeal SMH25 settled up $4.80 at $315.80 per short ton.
CBOT most-active March soyoil BOH25 ended down 1.35 cents at 44.42 cents per pound.
Algerian state agency ONAB has issued a new international tender to purchase up to 70,000 tons of soymeal, European traders said on Wednesday.
