CBOT soybeans fall back on technical reversal, South America weather

- Chicago Board of Trade soybeans Sv1 turned down on Wednesday, as traders took profits from Tuesday's rally and forecasts for needed rain in Argentina weighed on the market, analysts said.

  • China, the world's biggest soybean buyer, has stopped receiving Brazilian soybean shipments from five firms after cargoes did not meet phytosanitary requirements, according to a statement from the Brazilian government confirming what Reuters had learned from two sources on Wednesday.

  • Most-active CBOT March soybeans SH25 settled down 11-1/4 cents at $10.56 a bushel, after hitting the highest point for a most-active contract Sv1 since July 26.

  • CBOT most-active March soymeal SMH25 settled up $4.80 at $315.80 per short ton.

  • CBOT most-active March soyoil BOH25 ended down 1.35 cents at 44.42 cents per pound.

  • Algerian state agency ONAB has issued a new international tender to purchase up to 70,000 tons of soymeal, European traders said on Wednesday.
