GER40

The DAX Index tracks 40 of the largest eligible companies listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange's regulated market. Germany's main blue-chip benchmark uses free-float market-capitalization weighting and expanded from 30 to 40 constituents in 2021. DAX exists in price and performance versions. The performance index reinvests dividends and is commonly quoted in German media, while international platforms may follow a different reference. GER40 can respond to European Central Bank policy, the euro, global manufacturing, automobile demand and industrial exports. Overseas markets, including China, matter to many constituents. The DAX cannot be purchased directly; exposure may be available through funds, ETFs, futures, options or CFDs. A GER40 quote may follow a derivative and differ from the official index because of trading hours, financing, dividends or return conventions. Confirm both the product specification and underlying DAX version before comparing charts, especially over longer periods.
