CHINA 50

The FTSE China A50 Index is a tradable benchmark of 50 of the largest mainland Chinese A-share companies. A-shares are shares of mainland-incorporated companies traded in renminbi on the Shanghai or Shenzhen stock exchanges. Constituents must meet eligibility and investability rules, including Northbound Stock Connect requirements. Weighted by investable market capitalization, the index provides focused large-cap onshore exposure and differs from Hong Kong-listed Chinese-share benchmarks and MSCI China A50 products. CHN50 can respond to Chinese monetary and fiscal policy, credit growth, property conditions, domestic consumption, regulation and the renminbi. It is narrower than broad A-share indexes, so sector concentration matters. The index cannot be purchased directly; exposure may be available through ETFs, futures, options or CFDs. A CHN50 quote may follow offshore futures or another index-linked product, causing differences from the official cash index because of trading hours, fair value or contract rolls.
