ES35

The IBEX 35 Index, represented on TradingKey as ES35, is Spain's main equity-market benchmark. It comprises 35 of the most liquid securities traded through the Spanish Stock Market Interconnection System and belongs to the BME index family. Constituents are weighted by free-float-adjusted market capitalization. Selection emphasizes liquidity and trading characteristics, so the IBEX 35 is not simply a list of Spain's 35 largest companies or a complete measure of the Spanish economy. ES35 can reflect movements in banks, utilities, infrastructure, energy and internationally active consumer businesses. European Central Bank policy, bond yields, euro-area growth and Latin American markets can affect performance. The cash index cannot be purchased directly; exposure may be available through funds, ETFs, futures, options or CFDs. An ES35 quote may track an index-linked derivative and differ from the official cash level because of trading hours, dividends and financing.
