POLITICS

The Iranian people must not be made to pay for the actions of their government, Italy said on Tuesday, after U.S. President Donald Trump threatened that "a whole civilization will die tonight."

ECONOMY

Local suppliers stepped in to resolve a temporary jet fuel shortage at four Italian airports, three sources told Reuters on Tuesday, amid a sharp rise in jet fuel prices since the start of the U.S-Israel war with Iran.

OECD releases March composite leading indicator data (1000 GMT).

Bank of Italy releases March data on Target 2 liabilities and European Central Bank funding to Italian banks.

DEBT

The Treasury said on Tuesday it would sell 10 billion euros ($11.57 billion) of BOT bills at an auction on April 9.

The Treasury on Wednesday announces the sale of BTP bonds, with relative amounts to be auctioned on April 10.

Brazil's power regulator Aneel decided on Tuesday to move forward with a forfeiture process that could ultimately lead to the termination of a concession held by a local unit of the Italian utility in Sao Paulo, preventing the automatic renewal of its contract.

The lender said on Tuesday that it had terminated CEO Luigi Lovaglio's contract as general manager, weeks after stripping him of his executive powers.

Proxy adviser Glass Lewis has recommended Banco BPM's shareholders to vote in favour of the slate of directors proposed by the current board at the general annual meeting on April 16, several newspapers reported on Wednesday.

U.S. carmakers have accused Brussels of keeping their largest pick-up trucks, including the Ford F-150, the Chevy Silverado and the Ram 1500, off European roads, the Financial Times reported on Wednesday.

The food and retail group is considering five potential acquisitions of European food producers, with two deals expected to be closed by year-end, CEO Angelo Mastrolia told daily la Repubblica in an interview published on Wednesday.

The group's revenues could rise by 1.8 billion euros if all five deals are completed, he added.

Piero Ferrari, a board member of the Italian yacht maker, has decided to tender his shares in the offer by Czech investment firm KKCG Maritime after the bid price was raised to 3.90 euros per share, several newspapers reported on Wednesday citing a statement from the entrepreneur.
