EUROPE BEFORE THE BELL: EDGING HIGHER

European equity futures are pointing to a slightly higher open as the region looks to shrug off the AI worries that gripped U.S. trade on Monday.

All three major Wall Street indexes fell by over 1% yesterday, with worries about AI disruption and the fallout from the Supreme Court's decision on tariffs sending shares lower.

But futures on the Euro STOXX 50 STXEc1 are up about 0.1% on Tuesday. Futures on the DAX FDXc1, CAC FCEc1 and FTSE FFIc1 are also marginally higher.

The struggling auto sector .SXAP could be in focus this morning after European car sales fell year-on-year in January for the first time since June.

Today's economic calendar looks light, although BoE Governor Andrew Bailey and three other policymakers testify to lawmakers on their latest decision to hold interest rates at 3.75%.
