The benchmark BSE Sensex .BSESN ended up 0.58% to 83,294.66, while the broader NSE Nifty 50 index .NSEI advanced 0.55% to 25,713, after the U.S. Supreme Court struck down President Donald Trump's sweeping tariffs, but the gains were capped as persistent concerns over the disruption from AI kept IT shares under pressure. .BO
RUPEE:
The Indian rupee INR=IN ended 0.11% higher versus the U.S. dollar to 90.8825, giving up most of the gains from morning trades, with importer hedging interest and upcoming forward maturities largely reversing the move. INR/
GOVERNMENT BONDS:
The benchmark 10-year bond IN064835G=CC was quoted at 98.47 rupees, with the yield down 2 bps at 6.697%, as risk sentiment improved after U.S.-Iran tensions did not flare up over the weekend, though heavy issuance due this week capped gains. IN/
OVERNIGHT INDEX SWAPS:
The one-year overnight index swap rate INR1YMIBROIS=CC was down 3 basis points at 5.49%, while the five-year swap rate INR5YMIBROIS=CC dropped more than 5 bps to 6.0375%.
CALL MONEY:
India's overnight call money rate INROND= was at 5% and the overnight TREPS rate INTREPTOT=TCCL was at 4.80%.
