EUROPE BEFORE THE BELL: BUOYANT MOOD
European stock futures are higher on Tuesday, as equity market investors take comfort from a rebound in metals prices.
Gold XAU= is up almost 5% as European traders get to their desks, a bounce of around 11% from Monday's lows. Silver trades 8% higher on Tuesday.
That has helped the broad mood in markets, with stocks in Europe set to continue their rebound after a strong showing late on Monday.
Euro STOXX 50 futures STXEc1 are up 0.6% after the index rose 1% on Monday.
Futures on the DAX FDXc1, CAC FCEc1 and FTSE FFIc1 are up 0.1% to 0.6%. Wall Street futures EScv1 are also rising.
Stocks in Asia-Pacific .MIAPJ0000PUS surged overnight, with Japan's Nikkei 225 .N225 up almost 4% and South Korea's Kospi .KS11 up nearly 7%.
A trade deal between the U.S. and India has helped push the Nifty .NSEI and Sensex .BSESN both up around 3%.
