The Indian rupee INR=IN dropped 0.04% versus the U.S. dollar to 90.1900, weighed by a fall in local stocks and regional currencies, while likely intervention by the central bank limited the decline.

GOVERNMENT BONDS:

The benchmark 10-year bond IN064835G=CC was quoted at 98.94 rupees, with the yield up 2 basis points at 6.6277%, as Bloomberg Index Services held off including Indian debt in its global index, surprising traders as they had factored it into prices, and added that review for inclusion was open and ongoing.
