SHOULD YOU BUY THE BIGGEST LOSERS AFTER TAX HARVESTING?
One common trading strategy is to buy the worst performing stocks at the end of the year on the view that these will rebound in the new year once tax loss harvesting is complete, according to Nicholas Colas, Co-founder of DataTrek Research.
To that end, DataTrek has provided a list of the year’s worst performing stocks. Colas cautions, however, that “we see this as a shopping list, a starting point for your own technical and/or fundamental research, rather than a basket trade where one buys all the worst performing large cap stocks of the year.”
